On taco Tuesday, of all days, the food company officially announced the four-month contract position. It will pay the director of taco relations $25,000 a month, Yahoo News reported.

If hired, the director would need to have a hearty appetite and be ready for hard-hitting questions like "Which are better, soft or hard shell tacos," the release said.

Responsibilities for the position include staying up to date on what tacos are trending on social media, "trolling TikTok," creating content for a "Taco Tuesday" series, and tasting as many tacos as possible to encourage taco lovers to crave the latest creations.

McCormick, most well known for their seasonings, has seen a recent boom in their taco powder, resulting in the creation of the position. Reportedly, the company has sold more than 200 packets of seasoning a minute in the last year.

"While taco trends continue to change and evolve, our seasoning has remained the first choice for countless families across the country," Jill Pratt, McCormick's Chief Marketing Officer, said in the release.

The director of tacos relations "will ultimately honor and support the millions of Americans that rely on our taco seasoning every day while keeping McCormick at the forefront of the tacos of tomorrow," Pratt added.

While most of the work will be remote, the position would also have the director of taco relations travel across the nation to visit famous taco restaurants and chefs. They would even visit the McCormick headquarters in Maryland.

To apply, taco fans should make a two-minute or less video highlighting their favorite recipes, taco tips and tricks, taco experiences, go-to toppings, and favorite taco-themed trivia or fun facts. McCormick is looking to learn why this is your dream gig.

Applicants have to be 21 years of age, a U.S. resident, be available to sign a contract by the end of August and work up to 20 hours a week from September 2021 to December 2021.

Applications will be accepted up until Tuesday, July 20, at 11:59 p.m. EST.
