
Actor Rick Aiello, known for his roles in films like “Do the Right Thing” and “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me,” has died at 65.

TMZ reports that the actor passed away after a one-and-a-half-year battle with pancreatic cancer. According to the outlet, his mother said Aiello died on Monday surrounded by family at a hospital in Warwick, New Jersey.
Aiello was the son of Danny Aiello, a legendary actor who also starred in the “Do the Right Thing” and earned an Oscar nomination for his part as the pizzeria owner Sal in the Spike Lee film.
Rick appeared in the 1989 film as Officer Gary Long, a role he would reprise in another Spike Lee film, 1991’s “Jungle Fever.”
He also appeared in a number of other projects, including guest appearances on “Law & Order” and “Sex in the City.”
Rick’s brother, Danny Aiello III, also died of pancreatic cancer in 2010.
Their father Danny passed away from a sudden illness in December 2019.
Rick is survived by his wife and their two kids.
