The case of the missing playground slide has been solved.

Back in December, a 400-pound slide at a local Pasco, Washington playground was reported stolen.

After vanishing for more than two months, the slide was found mounted to a bunk bed in a child’s room.

The Pasco Police Department went viral after sharing images of the stolen slide, along with pictures of its new home. The slide had been altered from its original appearance.

According to their viral post, “the slide was taken, the top sawed off, it was repainted, and it was mounted on a bunkbed.”

Sadly for the child, it was still a crime and police recovered the slide after spotting it in the home.

According to Fox News, police were originally looking for stolen car parts when they came upon the slide inside a mobile home.

"Detective Lee found herself inside the suspect’s home in Burbank, looking for catalytic converters and finding a gigantic slide," the police said in the Facebook post. "Oh, yes, she also found catalytic converters. And other detectives helped."

Sadly for the innocent child, the incident was still a crime and police recovered the slide

The suspect was taken into custody for Possession of Stolen Property (the slide).
