Betty DeVille is sharing information about herself.

In the new “Rugrats” reboot, Betty, who is mother to twins Phil and Lil, is openly gay.

The fictional character is voiced by actress Natalie Morales in the Paramount Plus revival of the animated ‘90s series, which premiered on Thursday.

“Anyone who watched the original show may have had an inkling Betty was a member of the alphabet mafia,” Morales told The A.V. Club.

In the Nickelodeon original, which aired from 1991 to 2004, Betty was married to Howard DeVille with whom she shared twins, son Phil and daughter Lil.

But as the times have changed, Betty has come into her own.

“Betty is a single mom with her own business who has twins and still has time to hang out with her friends and her community,” Morales added.

“And I think it’s just so great because examples of living your life happily and healthily as an out queer person is just such a beacon for young queer people who may not have examples of that.”

Morales, who announced she was queer on social media in 2017, noted how having a character like Betty around when she was growing up would have been a helpful role model.

“And yeah, Betty is a fictional cartoon, but even cartoons were hugely influential for me as a kid and if I’d been watching 'Rugrats' and seen Betty casually talking about her ex-girlfriend, I think at least a part of me would have felt like things might be okay in the future,” she shared.

In addition to Morales, the reboot also features the voice talents of E.G. Daily, Nancy Cartwright, Kath Soucie, Cree Summer, Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky and Nicole Byer, among others.

Congrats to Betty, and happy Pride Month!
