Jamie Lee Curtis, 62, reflects on her sultry Golden Globes gown after 'wearing black leggings for a year'

Jamie Lee Curtis has gone from scream queen to fashion scene-stealer!

The “Halloween” actress made quite the impression at the 2021 Golden Globes when she appeared on stage in a stunning low-cut yellow dress.

Curtis began trending on social media for the glamorous golden silk gown and its plunging neckline.

During an appearance on “Today,” she opened up about the joys of getting decked out to the nines after spending so much time at home the last year in comfy clothes.

“You know, I'm 62 years old, and I've been wearing black leggings for a year," Curtis told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager. "And so the truth of the matter is, I'm an actress, and I was privileged to be asked to present at the Golden Globes, and I decided to suit up and show up."

She also had a sense of humor regarding the internet’s reaction to her impressive physique.

"You know, once in a while, everybody needs to come out, get a little sunshine," the “Knives Out” star joked. "They are now well-fed. They are back in the stable. They don't need to come out for another five years."

Curtis also elaborated on how her choice of wearing a bright color had a deeper meaning.

"But there is something about wearing sunshine during this moment, when we have all been denied the freedom that sunshine and the joy of sunshine and happiness, and a little glitz and glamour," she added.

"And I was very happy to represent and to be able to present it, weirdly enough, to a very close friend of mine. So it was lovely."

Curtis presented the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture, which went to her “best friend” Jodie Foster for “The Mauritanian.”

Sharing an image of her award ensemble, Curtis gave props to her glam squad by writing, "It takes a village to prepare me for public consumption."
