Despite a 38-to-20 win over West Virginia Saturday, the Longhorns are not back in the AP Top 25 this week. In fact, just one Texas team makes the AP rankings this week.
Based on its strong 55-to-24 over Oklahoma, TCU goes from unranked to #17. It's the Frogs' first appearance in the AP Top 25 since a one-week visit in 2019.
Last week's #16, the Baylor Bears, dropped out of the rankings entirely following their 36-to-25 loss to #7 Oklahoma State.
Texas A&M, last week's #17, dropped out of the rankings because of the Aggies' 42-to-24 loss to 23rd ranked Mississippi State.
Coming up Saturday -- the annual Red River Showdown at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas where Texas and Oklahoma will renew their rivalry for the 118th time. KRLD is the Home of the Horns, You can hear the game right here. The pre-game is at 10 a.m. and kick-off is at 11 a.m.
