DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys have already brought two of defensive coordinator Dan Quinn's players, but might there be a third that joins the organization in the near future?

Dallas already signed former Falcons - hybrid safety/linebacker Keanu Neal and safety Damontae Kazee. And now, Seahawks KJ Wright is making his pitch to join America's Team.

"Dallas has certainly always been on my list of 'dream teams,''' Wright tells 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher. "With coach Dan Quinn there, and with other aspects of that team and that defense, I do think it's one of the teams I fit in with.''

Later Friday, Fish reported on the GBag Nation that the Cowboys had "touched base" with Wright.

"If the money's right, the interest is certainly there on the part of KJ Wight. And if it was up to Dan Quinn, he'd bring him in," Fish added.

It's unknown what Wright is looking for on the open market, but he's coming off of a two-year, $14 million deal. Spotrac projects him to earn an average annual salary of $7.1 million, which might be too much for the Cowboys to shell out.

As for what the scouts think of Wright - Bryan Broaddus asked one of his "Gang of 7" personnel members for an evaluation of the player?

"He still got some juice left. But (he's) mostly just a crafty, instinctive veteran that knows how to play," Broaddus said.

Wright, 31, is a former fourth-round pick out of Mississippi State. He has spent his entire 10-year career in Seattle.

Wright has been relatively durable, which would be an improvement for the Cowboys linebacker core of Leighton Vander Esch, Jaylon Smith and Sean Lee (might retire). He has appeared in 144 (140 starts) out of a possible 160 games for Seattle.

He has 941 combined tackles and 13.5 sacks in his career.
