DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Cowboys injuries continue to pile up as head coach Mike McCarthy revealed Tuesday that fill-in left tackle Brandon Knight underwent surgery on his knee after injuring it in Monday night's loss to Arizona.
McCarthy said Knight would be out "a couple weeks."
As for who will replace him in the lineup, McCarthy declined to speculate. Cam Erving could be an option as he's expected to come off injured reserve this week (MCL).
Dallas is already without All-Pro tackles Tyron Smith and La'el Collins, who are out for the rest of the season. Center Joe Looney remains on injured reserve with a knee injury, and All-Pro right guard Zack Martin is in the league's concussion protocol.
McCarthy said that they won't know Martin's status for Sunday's game vs Washington until later in the week.
Should Martin be unable to go, 2019 third-round pick Connor McGovern will step in for his first career start.
