(SportsRadio 610) -- Free agent safety Earl Thomas was supposed to visit the Texans on Tuesday, but it’s been put on hold, according to Josina Anderson, formerly of ESPN.

Thomas was released by the Ravens during the offseason after an altercation with a teammate during training camp.

The Texans planned on bringing in multiple safeties for workouts this week, according to reports, with the seven-time Pro Bowler Thomas being the most noteworthy of the group.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday on 105.3 The Fan that he "is aware" that Thomas is available but declined to go into specifics about why they had yet to meet with him, as their secondary continues to struggle.

It was also revealed Tuesday that the Minnesota Vikings, who are scheduled to visit the Texans at NRG Stadium on Sunday, suspended in-person club activities after three Titans players and five personnel members tested positive for the coronavirus. The Vikings played against the Titans this past Sunday.

Both teams and their opponents (Vikings-Texans; Steelers-Titans) have been informed of the possibility their games could be rescheduled. The Texans are still operating as normal, but the Thomas visit and workout has been delayed.
