After scoring touchdowns on three out of five red zone opportunities against the Giants in Week 1, the Cowboys offense has struggled in the red zone over the last two weeks.
Dallas went 3-for-11 combined in the red zone against the Jets and Cardinals. Those struggles didn't prevent them from picking up a win against the Jets, but going 1-of-5 against the Cardinals played a large role in their Week 3 loss.
Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones was asked about his level of concern regarding the team's red zone woes when he joined Shan, RJ and Bobby on Wednesday on 105.3 The Fan.
“I think the thing we need to zero in on is when we get that ball down in there close, we’ve got to get touchdowns,” Jones said. “And that’s probably across the board over these last three ball games. We got a long time to go in this season. We got a lot of room to really adjust and correct these things. While it’s something to note, it’s not a long-range concern.”
Dallas will look to get back on track when they face the Patriots this weekend in Arlington.
