Shan and RJ react to judge dismissing sexual assault lawsuit against Dak Prescott

A Colin County judge has dismissed a lawsuit claiming sexual assault against Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.

Judge Angela Tucker's ruling comes less than two months after Dallas police announced that they are no longer investigating sexual assault claims a woman made against Prescott stemming from an alleged incident that took place in 2017.

"Despite Ms. Shores and her legal team's relentless efforts to extort money and damage Dak's reputation, justice has consistently prevailed and will continue to do so," Prescott's attorney Levi McCathern said in a statement. “The original lies by [the accuser], her team, and their recent failed attempt to sue him civilly are all just a continuation of their extortion plot against Dak. These ploys distract from the trauma of legitimate sexual assault survivors and undermine the progress that our society has made in supporting them. We are proud that Dak stands up against this injustice and thankful Judge Tucker agrees.”

McCarthern added that the judge found that the accusations against Prescott "lacked merit and should be dismissed immediately."

As a result of her findings, Judge Tucker scheduled a hearing for mid-September to determine whether the accuser and her lawyers should face sanctions for making a false claim.
