DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Cowboys love fest with Odell Beckham Jr. continued this week with owner Jerry Jones, head coach Mike McCarthy, quarterback Dak Prescott, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, running back Ezekiel Elliott, linebacker Micah Parsons and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence all in favor of signing the veteran wideout.

During his visit with the K&C Masterpiece on Friday, Jones spoke about the support Beckham Jr. has received from the locker room, and he said it reminds him of a deal he made years ago that helped bring his team a Super Bowl title.

“I love it, that they have that kind of perspective," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan. "It does remind me again of when Deion Sanders joined us on our Super Bowl team in 1995. Basically, I remember making the deal with Deion at a hotel in Dallas. I showed the deal to Troy (Aikman), Michael (Irvin) and Emmitt Smith and asked them what they thought of it, and I showed them the numbers. And I'm telling you right now a smile went out across their face, and they said, ‘Jerry, get him!'

The Cowboys signed Sanders after Week 1 in '95, and as Jones noted, the star cornerback played a big part in the team's Super Bowl run. And it sure does sound like Jones envisions Beckham as having a similar impact on this year's team.

“At the end of the day, winning the game, winning the next one and winning when you get to the playoffs, that’s the overriding thing that’s going on here with our team. That’s what makes this thing so exciting. Whatever it takes.”

Stay tuned.
