DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys have added a tight end to the depth chart with the addition of former Washington Football Team tight end Jeremy Sprinkle, the team announced Wednesday afternoon.

The Cowboys didn't release terms of the agreement.

Sprinkle will replace Blake Bell as the team's blocking tight end after Bell agreed to a deal to return to the Chiefs this offseason.

Dalton Schultz filled the role as the top pass catcher at the position last season after Blake Jarwin was lost to a torn ACL in the season opener in Los Angeles. Jarwin is expected to ready to go when the season begins.

Washington selected Sprinkle in the fifth round of the 2017 draft out of Arkansas. The 26-year-old appeared in 59 out of a possible 64 games in his four years with Washington. He has 34 catches for 301 yards and three touchdowns in his career.
