The Cowboys are expected to sign Dak Prescott to an extension this offseason, making him one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL.

Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News reported late Wednesday that a "Dak Prescott extension is not promised" this offseason, and defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer and his new defensive assistants signed one-year deals to join Mike McCarthy's staff.
The report comes two days after Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones opened up to reporters at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis about his feelings regarding Prescott's future, saying the goal is for Prescott to be a Cowboy for life.
