DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Some much needed reinforcements are on the way for the Dallas Cowboys ahead of their matchup tonight against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Linebacker Sean Lee, who has yet to play a down this season for Dallas, as well as Center Joe Looney who was injured on the first snap of the Cowboys week four loss to the Cleveland Browns, are both activate for Sunday Night Football.

The return of both players could not come at a better time for the Cowboys, who have struggled along the offensive line and in the linebacker group all season long.

Unfortunately, it wasn't all good news for the Cowboys on the injury front, as veteran cornerback Chidobe Awuzie was forced to remain on the injured reserve list, despite reports that he could be returning to action this weekend.

To combat the absence of Awuzie, as well as the recently released Daryl Worley in the secondary, the Cowboys elected to elevate defensive back Saivion Smith from the practice squad.

If Smith takes the field, it will be his first action of the 2020 season.

Quarterback Andy Dalton, who was knocked out of last Sunday's loss to the Washington Football team with a concussion, will not play tonight.

Rookie seventh round pick Ben DiNucci, who made his NFL debut last week, will get his first career start in Dalton's place.

Tonight's inactives are DB Reggie Robinson, QB Andy Dalton, LB Luke Gifford and WR Malik Turner.
