Mark Cuban doesn't foresee Mavs trade unless they can get a 'game-changer star'

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - With the March 25 NBA trade deadline quickly approaching, many are connecting the Dallas Mavericks to all sorts of players who could potentially be had for a playoff push.

Thus far, the Mavs have been connected to Kevin Love, sharpshooter JJ Redick, and others. But do those players put them over the top?

Mavs owner Mark Cuban joined the Mavs Step Back Podcast on Tuesday to discuss what kind of player the team is looking for ahead of the deadline?

"Unless it's a game-changer star, I don't see us doing anything at all. So, if somebody decides they're blowing it up, then okay, we'll talk to anybody about any great player," Cuban said. "If it's just, 'okay, we'll trade you this guy for that guy,' and it's really not going to move the needle, then I'd rather go with continuity (and stick with what we have).

So, perhaps the Mavericks won't get an upgrade to their roster in the next couple of weeks. This could also be Cuban not telling the full truth as the Mavs have always played their cards close to the chest when it comes to player acquisition.

As for some very good news, Cuban revealed at the end of the podcast that the American Airlines Center could be at full capacity for Mavs games at the end of the regular-season.
