DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The captains of the NBA All-Star Game made their selections on Thursday night.

LeBron James and Kevin Durant were given the honor after receiving the most fan votes in their respective conference.

Mavs superstar Luka Doncic would go on to be the first reserve taken by Team LeBron.

For the first time, Doncic will come off the bench after being voted into the game as a starter the previous two seasons. Doncic just missed out on a starting spot, finishing third in voting totals behind Warriors guard Stephen Curry and Grizzlies guard Ja Morant.

The Slovenian superstar is averaging 26 points, 8.9 assists and 8.8 rebounds per contest. Despite his co-star Kristaps Porzingis missing 18 games this season, the Doncic-led Mavs find themselves in fifth place in the Western Conference standings with a 29-23 record.

Morant’s starting nod is well-deserved, however, with the third-year star averaging 26.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game, for a Grizzlies team that sits at 38-18, first in the Southwest Division, and third in the Western Conference.

The All-Star Game will be televised by TNT at 7 p.m. CT on Sunday, Feb. 20.
