Dez caught it.
On January 11, 2015, it was clear that Dez Bryant caught it. On February 27, 2018, when the NFL competition committee revisited the moment and agreed that it was, in fact, a completion, it was clear that Dez Bryant caught it. On July 11, 2021, when Bryant posted a picture of his old game-worn cleats from that fateful day and said that "it was a catch and forever will be a catch," it was clear that Dez Bryant caught it.

But if you still needed more evidence that Dez Bryant caught it, you can thank Uber Eats and their clever marketing team — or whichever agency helped out with their most recent ad — for giving us yet another reminder. There are two different spots that I've seen. In the first, Bryant asserts that there is absolutely no doubt that a fisherman caught his mahi-mahi order from Uber Eats, adding that no one challenged that claim or created any rule to clarify the catch.
In the other, it was Bryant himself who made the catch... of his bag of fresh dinner from the convenient food delivery service.
This isn't the first time we've seen the worlds of food delivery and the NFL combine for full advertising effect, which makes sense. After all, who is more likely to order a big meal right to their couch than a ravenous football fan on gameday? Perhaps my favorite of the bunch is the ridiculous Postmates spot in which Jerry Rice sets yet another receiving record.
