DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Mavericks matchup vs the Rockets set to be played in Houston on Friday night has been postponed as Texas continues to deal with widespread power outages due extreme winter weather.
The Mavericks were also forced to postpone Wednesday night's home game vs the Detroit Pistons due to the winter storm that has gripped the state since Sunday.
Additionally, the Stars also announced that their home game scheduled for Saturday night vs the Tampa Bay Lightning has also been postponed, making it the fourth game the team has lost this week.
The Stars will have a tall-task ahead of them as they are set to play their final 44 games in just 78 days, Matthew DeFranks of the Dallas Morning News reports.
The Stars next game is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 22 at the Florida Panthers, while the Mavericks will host the Memphis Grizzlies on that same night at the AAC.
The metroplex is still dealing with the fallout from multiple winter storms that gripped the area from Sunday to Wednesday. At one point this week, there were over 4 million homes without power in the entire state.
