Aaron Judge was back for a good six innings before he was bitten by the injury bug yet again.

The Yankees slugger was removed in the sixth inning of a 2-1 loss to the Braves in the second game of a doubleheader on Wednesday after he felt his calf area tighten up again while running to second base, according to manager Aaron Boone.

“It doesn’t seem overly serious,” Boone said. “But it was enough for us to get him out of there.”

When asked if Judge will need an MRI, Boone replied, “I don’t know… we’ll see.”

Boone also would not rule out another IL stint despite just being activated from it earlier this week.

"It's possible," Boone said. "But I think we'll have a better feel tonight and into tomorrow where he's at."

Judge first felt tightness in his calf two weeks ago after playing on the artificial turf of Tropicana Field. The Yankees removed him from a game and sat him out the following day before placing him on the IL.

Judge was adamant that he only needed a couple of days and believed he was healthy enough to play just a couple days into his IL stint.

The Yankees’ injury problems – which plagued the team last year – really seem to be taking a toll on them this season.

Giancarlo Stanton, DJ LeMahieu, Gleyber Torres, Zack Britton and James Paxton are all on the injured list and the team has now lost its last five games and have fallen two games behind the Rays in the AL East.
