Kevin Durant was criticized heavily on social media after the Nets announced that the superstar would be staying in Brooklyn despite months of trade speculation, and some even came from fellow NBA players.
Patrick Beverley, who has gotten into it on the court with Durant while he was with the Clippers and Durant with the Warriors, called out Durant for the trade rumors that swirled and reported ultimatum given to the Nets about getting rid of GM Sean Marks and head coach Steve Nash, and the ripple effects that his trade demand may have had on the Brooklyn organization.

“Y’all can sit and don’t say nothing but that ain’t cool,” Beverley tweeted. “It’s dudes with families out here who haven’t got a job because of this KD s--t. And to be on and off ain’t cool.”
Durant promptly responded with the hashtag, BLAMEKD.
Beverley, and perhaps others, seem to believe that Durant’s trade drama resulted in free agents remaining unsigned as teams waited for the Durant domino to fall, a domino that will now never fall as he has walked back his trade request.
