As the Atlanta Falcons get closer to draft day, it seems as if they may change who they want to pick in the first round several times. A position that they don’t have to worry about picking in the first round, but they will have to address at some point, is running back.

The Falcons’ running game has not been productive over the past few seasons. It is so important for them to establish that because it helps out their aging quarterback Matt Ryan. Also, head coach Arthur Smith favors the run game in his system. It has been clear in the past what Ryan can do when they are balanced on offense.

Jones Angell, of the Tar Heel Radio Network, joined The Jon Chuckery Show to talk about the running style of Javonte Williams. “He runs with the aggressiveness of a linebacker,” Angell said. Smith is definitely used to aggressive running backs, having coached Derrick Henry before becoming the head coach of the Falcons.

If the Falcons are looking to establish an identity on offense this season, they should probably start with a guy like Williams who already has the character traits that you want to attain.
