But the biggest question everyone is asking around here these days is - 'What about the Home Run Derby?'

"I don't know yet. I guess we'll just have to play it by ear and see what happens," Gallo said Tuesday on the GBag Nation on 105.3 The Fan.
When asked if he had yet to be extended an invite by Major League Baseball, Gallo confirmed that is the case.
"I think I'd be down to do it, yeah. … I think Colorado would probably be a fun place to hit (home runs). We hit BP (batting practice) there earlier this year and it was definitely a fun place to hit BP. I think it's one of those parks where it's going to be a great show for the fans because balls are going to be going so far, like we're hitting on the moon, pretty much. It should be a good show, so we'll see. Hopefully, we'll see if I can get in it."
Gallo, who is expected to be a hot commodity for contending teams with the MLB trade deadline looming on July 30, also addressed his future with the organization, repeating his desire to remain in Texas long-term.
"I haven't heard anything. Obviously, I would love to stay. I love Texas. I love playing for the Rangers," Gallo said. … "Hopefully, I'll be here a lot longer, but you'll have to get the more important, front office guys on the phone for an interview to ask them to see what they have to say. Unfortunately, it's not up to me, but obviously, I'd love to play in Texas for a long time."
