September is Hunger Action Month. Every September, Hunger Action Month raises awareness about hunger in America and inspires action. It’s a time when individuals, organizations, and communities come together to help end hunger.
Thank you for taking action by participating in the 105.5 Triple M Request-A-Thon! Your donation will help thousands of people in southwestern Wisconsin who face food insecurity every day.
While any amount will make a difference, the minimum donation amount to have your request played is $40 (higher donation amounts may get your song played faster).
The first $15,000 of donations will be matched by the Alliant Energy Foundation.
To submit your request for a song to be played during the Request-A-Thon (6 am - 6 pm on Thursday, September 25 on 105.5 Triple M), make sure to include your song request in the comment section when you make your donation.
In southwestern Wisconsin, nearly 170,000 people face hunger (1 in 8 people). Nearly 51,000 kids (1 in 5) in southwestern Wisconsin may not get enough nourishing food each day. Over the last four years, food insecurity in our area has increased by 92%
Hunger makes everything harder and affects working families, seniors, veterans, students, and children. No one should have to choose between food and other basic needs like rent, medication, or childcare. When we all work together, we can end hunger. Every action (volunteering, donating, or spreading awareness) makes a difference!
