What was going on back then? Some of us were taking a ride on the information superhighway--a term supposedly coined by Vice President Al Gore. Netscape was a brand new way to search the internet. Video gamers were obsessed with Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and Donkey Kong Country.

In the news, O.J. Simpson was arrested for murder after a low speed chase in a Ford Bronco. Kurt Cobain committed suicide. Jeffrey Dahmer was murdered in prison in Portage, WI.

Friends was a brand new TV show, and so was ER. Our Thursday nights were booked up with Chandler, Phoebe, Monica, Ross, Rachel and Joey--not to mention Dr. Green, Dr. Ross and Dr. Lewis! Thank goodness for VCRs.
Forrest Gump, The Lion King and Pulp Fiction were big at the movie theater.
What songs were blasting out of our radios? Tune in Friday night to find out.
Friday Night Flashback is sponsored by Funk's Pub in Fitchburg. Feel the vibe.
