Every Friday night at 10pm, host Amber Star takes us on a two-hour journey into our musical past. This time we're going back nine years, to 2014. We were in the middle of Barack Obama's second term as president. It was the year Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 seemingly vanished into thin air.
2014 was also the year that Jay Leno hosted his final Tonight Show on NBC, his spot behind the desk then filled by Jimmy Fallon. New shows on TV included black-ish and Jane The Virgin. At the movie theatres, Guardians of the Galaxy and Hunger Games Mockingjay were popular.
