Various media outlets, including Variety, are reporting the death of actor Ray Liotta at age 67.
His publicist said he died while in the Dominican Republic shooting a movie called "Dangerous Waters." A cause of death was not given.
Ray Liotta is best known for his performance as real-life mobster Henry Hill in the 1990 movie Goodfellas. Other notable performances included the baseball player Shoeless Joe Jackson in Field of Dreams and his first major movie appearance in Something Wild.
Liotta won an Emmy for an appearance on the medical drama ER, and made appearances on other TV shows including Modern Family, Frasier, and the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Soap opera fans may remember him as Joey Perrini on Another World in the early 1980s.
