Standing at 6 ft. 6 in., Florida native BabyJake (Jake Herring) is anything but just a little kid, although he did get his musical start early in life at the age of eight.
On the release day of his brand new EP Don't give me problems, give me wine and no way to invite him over for a listening party, we're taking a look at what the singer has been binge-watching these past few months while stuck at home.
Outer Banks
Netflix's Outer Banks is BabyJake's first pick, and not just because his friends Madison Bailey and Chase Stokes star in the series. BabyJake tells us "it's about them finding this treasure that (Chase) John B.'s dad had hidden, and now they're going to the Bahamas for season two so I'm really hyped."
Peaky Blinders
Without spoiling any plots, BabyJake says the Netflix series "is probably one of my favorite shows of all time. I just love it. I think it's really dope how it's staged in these old times and it's this family gang. Really, really cool."
HOLLYWOOD
Next up is another Netflix original. "My friend Chase from Outer Banks actually told me about it... It was crazy because I didn't know that the Hollywood movie scene was actually like that. When I learned all these things about how the entertainment industry used to be, it was really interesting because I'm in the entertainment industry now."
Dexter
Showtime squeezes in with the highly-regarded series Dexter. "I'm just a weirdo, I like criminal stuff like that," says BabyJake. "It's long. I think I got to season six and I took a pause. I need to get back into it."
Ozark
Closing the list out with another one from Netflix, BabyJake picks Ozark starring Jason Bateman. "That last season was incredible. All the actors are really, really good. I've watched it twice now, might watch it a third time. I suggest you guys go check it out."
With the streaming favorites "Confidant" and "Blue Cellophane" already making their way to fans' ears, BabyJake has collected seven new tracks showcasing his alternative and folk stylings, paired with a little Hip Hop flow. Check out the new single "Head in the Clouds" below.
Here's the EP's track listing:
"Blue Cellophane"
