Lamar Jackson was absent from Wednesday's practice as the starting quarterback battles the Flu.

Head Coach John Harbaugh confirmed Tuesday that Jackson and other players were dealing with the illness. It's common around this time of year, especially for sports teams with a number of players around each other every day.

Eight other players including Mark Ingram, Mark Andrews, Hayden Hurst, James Hurst, Ben Powers, Jordan Richards, Brandon Carr, and Chris Wormley missed practice.

#Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has been battling the flu, was not at practice today. Eight others were absent: Mark Ingram (calf), Mark Andrews (ankle), Hayden Hurst, James Hurst, Ben Powers, Jordan Richards, Brandon Carr and Chris Wormley.

Luckily for the Ravens, they have the benefit of a first-round bye. They'll rest during the wild-card round and host either the Houston Texans, Buffalo Bills, or Tennessee Titans in the divisional round in Baltimore on January 11th.

Jackson was on the sidelines during the Week 17 win against the Steelers and Harbaugh didn't seem concered about the status of his star quarterback. He said Head certified athletic trainer Rob Medlin takes the necesarry steps in treating players, including sending them home if needed.
