The Ravens are getting a key special teamer back. The team announced today that Safety Brynden Trawick has been designated to return from Injured Reserve.

Trawick was placed on IR in early October with an elbow injury. He'll officially be designated to return for the Ravens' Week 14 matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

The Ravens will be happy to have the former Pro Bowl special teamer back. During Trawick's absence, there have been a number of changes for the unit. Justin Bethel was released, DeShon Elliott suffered a season-ending knee injury, and Chuck Clark lost time after being promoted to the starting strong safety.

Not to mention, returner Cyrus Jones was released in favor of De'Anthony Thomas.

Head Coach John Harbaugh has been open about the team's recent special teams struggles and Trawick should make an immediate impact in that area.

Trawick is the second player to be designated from IR along with rookie cornerback Iman Marshall.

The Ravens cannot designate any more players off IR this season.
