Lamar Jackson is a better passer than you think. The second-year quarterback led the NFL with 36 touchdowns this season and dramatically improved his arm from his rookie year.
Want to question it? Well, Jackson showed off his arm talent by hitting the crossbar of the goalpost from 50 yards out.
Not bad for a running back.
That's not any easy throw by any measure. And yes, he was standing still throwing the football. But can't we just enjoy the fun Jackson is having. He and 11 other Ravens, along with the coaching staff are enjoying the Pro Bowl.
Ravens fans saw firsthand the improvements Jackson made as a passer. He passed for over 3,000 yards and did it without a true No. 1 wide receiver.
There's always going to be hate throughout Jackson's career, but he capped off his second season with what's soon to be the MVP trophy.
I think the Ravens can feel comfortable knowing they have a special talent who can still make long throws look easy with the flick of a wrist.
Good thing for Jackson, he doesn't think he's a polished product either. His work ethic will show even more improvements heading into Year 3.
