Aaron Rodgers' legendary run in Green Bay has seemingly been nearing its end for several years.

Now, a new report indicates the clock has indeed struck midnight -- with the Packers apparently interested in a parting of ways.
According to veteran NFL reporter Bob McGinn, the Packers "have all but moved on from" Rodgers, and are ready to turn to former first-round draft pick Jordan Love instead.
The report was published on the "Go Long" podcast, hosted by McGinn and Tyler Dunne, and seems to comport with previous reporting by ESPN's Adam Schefter, who reported that the Packers "prefer" a fresh start at quarterback.
Rodgers, 39, recently revealed he would be entering a four-day darkness retreat to once again contemplate his future plans.
After winning back-to-back MVPs in 2020 and '21, the four-time All-Pro is coming off something of a down year by his lofty standards, while the Packers missed the playoffs for the first time since 2018.
The disappointing results have fueled speculation that perhaps Rodgers would finally make his long-anticipated departure from the franchise that drafted him 24th overall way back in 2005. Similar speculation swirled in recent years, only for Rodgers to ultimately return.
But with the Packers finishing with a losing record and fourth-year head coach Matt LaFleur seemingly eager to execute his vision for the franchise, now might finally be the time for a changing of the guard.
As for Rodgers, it's unclear how many teams are actually interested in his services. The New York Jets have reportedly asked the Packers about his availability and are currently listed as the odds-on favorite landing spot, while other destinations such as the Raiders, Colts, Titans, Patriots and Commanders have surfaced in the rumor mill.
However, Peter King of NBC Sports reported earlier this week that many teams think the apparently prickly Rodgers is "more trouble than he's worth."
