Mandy Moore just gave a health update to her fans after giving birth to her first child.
Over the weekend, the 36-year-old actress said that she is suffering from low blood platelets after giving birth to her son, August “Gus” Harrison, in February.
According to People, Moore shared the new details on her Instagram story while posing for a picture from inside a doctor’s office.
"Back at the hematologist to see if my platelets have gone up since having the baby," the “This Is Us” star wrote.
Moore then posted a follow-up where she posed for a picture from inside her car.
"Platelets are going up, but still not great. I'm on a mission to do whatever I can to get them to a solid place so I don't have to wonder or worry during the next pregnancy," she wrote.
Moore also said that she has to "wait a few more months to absolutely confirm that it's infant ITP and wasn't gestational thrombocytopenia," and asked her followers with low platelets "what has worked" for them.
Last month, Moore and her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, welcomed their first child.
The couple welcomed a son named August Harrison Goldsmith. Moore shared the news by posting a photo of their precious boy and revealed his nickname is Gus.
“Gus is here," the 36-year-old captioned the snap. "Our sweet boy, August Harrison Goldsmith. He was punctual and arrived right on his due date, much to the delight of his parents. We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined."
Moore announced her pregnancy back in September by sharing a series of black-and-white photos alongside Goldsmith.
“Baby Boy Goldsmith coming early 2021,” she captioned the post.
Last month, Moore gave fans an update with an elegant photo from her third trimester maternity shoot.
