Now that the West family home is under new management with Kim Kardashian officially taking the property under control under her name, Kanye West decided to set up shop in a house directly across the street.

Kanye, who now goes by just Ye, dropped $421,000 over the asking price for the five-bedroom, four-bathroom Hidden Hills home, totaling a cool $4.5 million.
While this may look just about as odd as you would expect from Ye at first glance, the purchase was made, sources close to the estranged couple say, with their shared children in mind. “It’s just simple logistics so that he is close to his children and has access to them at the drop of a hat,” the insider said.
According to the NY Post, which has a number of inside and outside looks at the rapper's new abode as well as an overhead shot showing the proximity to the Kardashian home, West closed on the rustic-styled house built in 1955 on December 20 under the LLC, Spruce Blue Trust.
