The internet is going crazy over a video of two snakes fighting in a fierce battle.
In the video, you can see two Mulga snakes fighting in bizarre footage. The one-minute clip was posted on Facebook by the official account of Australian Wildlife Conservancy.
“Hiss and make up? Not an option for these feisty Mulga Snakes, seen fighting for well over an hour at our Scotia Wildlife Sanctuary,” the Australian Wildlife Conservancy captioned the video.
Tali Moyle, an AWC ecologist, recorded the footage and explained what exactly was going on.
“Mating season starts in early spring and the males start wrestling, attempting to push each other over to prove their dominance, for the right to mate with the females,” Moyle said. “Although Mulga Snakes are fairly common, it’s not too often you see this behaviour - this is only the second time I’ve seen it.”
Since posting the one-minute clip on Facebook, the video has garnered over 2,000 likes.
While people enjoyed watching the footage, others said that they have seen this before.
One user commented, “The one time I witnessed this was on a beach where they had fallen. I was truly amazed.”
Another wrote, “Don’t think they will make the WWE.”
