Munsick recently released a song, “Long Live Cowgirls” with Texas-based cowboy and Country music star, Cody Johnson and we (along with everyone else) can’t get enough of it. So how did Ian score such a high-status duet partner so early in his career? His wife!

“We’re actually on tour with him right now,” Ian said of how the duet came to be. “After our set in, I think it was Salt Lake [City], my wife ran into Cody in the hallway… and my wife was like, ’Well, we have this tune we think you might be great on.” What a keeper!

“She killed it, man. She is ballsy,” Ian laughed. “He [Cody] went and listened to it and he came back in and said, ‘Yes! I would love to be on it!’”

It’s been a dream come true for Munsick, who is a Wyoming native and recently released his debut album, Coyote Cry, which has landed him a spot on a tour with someone like CoJo.

“He [Cody] is one of my favorite Country music artists of all time,” Ian shared while also detailing the album has opened new opportunities for him with positive reactions from fans, industry professionals and other artists.
