As Jimmie Allen adjusts to the glitz and glam of the ballroom, he luckily has a good friend to lean on who has been through it all before.

Country artist and personality, Chuck Wicks, who competed on Dancing with the Stars eighth season in 2009, had some words of encouragement for Allen, but mostly — he just wants his best friend back so they can continue to dominate their Sunday bowling league together.
“Listen, last as long as you can but once you get back we’re back on the Sunday bowling league,” Chuck said in a message he left for Jimmie with Kelly Ford in the Morning. “You know what’s important, you know what matters, but get it done.”

Wicks continued on to give Allen a pep talk after he saw low scores from the Judges following Monday night’s performance. Allen received two fives and two sixes for a total of 22 out of a possible 40 points.
“I need better than fives,” Chuck stated. “Fives are good for the first week. Second week — no more fives. Just be yourself, and continue to smile because that was the highlight for me, personally, was watching you smile, Jimmie.”
Allen and Wicks clearly have a solid bromance going and it’s only going to intensify with the release of their brand new song together, releasing tomorrow.
While the song intensifies their bromance, Jimmie is also focused on intensifying his dance performance with a special surprise.
“Shirtless, I’m definitely going to try and go shirtless,” Allen shared. “I’m definitely going to make it a surprise, it might even surprise my partner. She’s not even goin to know when I rip it off I’m going to just get in the mood one day, going to put a bunch of baby oil on.”
We are here for the confidence (and a shirtless Jimmie!) Be sure to tune in for Allen’s second week of competition Monday night at 8/7pm CT on ABC.
