The 39-year-old new-mother-to-be has announced her debut solo EP, BLOOM, will release June 9 with a second EP planned for the Fall/Winter.
The lead single for BLOOM is, “If I Die Young Pt. 2,” a sequel to The Band Perry’s 2010 single, “If I Die Young,” which went #1 in December of the same year.
"I felt like the story wasn't finished," she shared. "There needed to be a sequel that talked about where my head is these days that now I've experienced so much life — I'm having a baby, I'm married, I've moved to Nashville; I've seen all of these dreams come true since writing the original version."
Additional songs on the BLOOM EP include “Burn The House Down,” “Cry At Your Funeral,” “Ghosts,” and “Smoke ‘Em Too.”
