Luke Bryan is ecstatic to welcome fellow Country star, Carrie Underwood, to the American Idol judging table next season, but he’s also sending her fair warning.
LISTEN NOW: Luke Bryan had this advice to offer Carrie Underwood on judging ‘American Idol’
“If she has a therapist, she’s probably going to have to double [up] to deal with me and Lionel [Richie],” Luke told Audacy’s 100.7 The Wolf at Watershed Music Festival over the weekend. Along with the advice to “up her therapy,” Luke had a very kind offer to go along with it.
“Do therapists do gift cards?” He questioned. “I can call her therapist and gift her a voucher.”
It was confirmed last week that Underwood will return to where her career began as she was officially announced as the newest judge to join the Idol panel after Katy Perry’s departure.
Underwood took home the win on season four of the competition and just shy of 20 years later is known as one of the show’s most successful artists. With eight GRAMMY’s, 28 #1 singles and numerous other high-profile awards as well as more than 85 million records sold globally, Underwood will surely have some sound advice for those beginning their journey. It all begins Spring 2025.
