Pride 2020 will be one to remember for several reasons. To help lift spirits during this very strange and chaotic time, I (with your help) put together a list of films to enjoy during the month of June and beyond. Take a break from scrolling through the internet, fire up the tube and support the actors and filmmakers in the LGBTQ+ community. <3< p>
A Secret Love
One of Netflix's latest documentaries will have you tearing up. Terry Donahue and Pat Henschel share their story, their hidden realtionship for over 65 years. Brother to Brother
IMDb description: Simon Spier keeps a huge secret from his family, his friends and all of his classmates: he's gay. When that secret is threatened, Simon must face everyone and come to terms with his identity. I've been watching this one every Pride since it came out. Pun intended ;)Stonewall Forever
A documentary about the past, present and future of Pride. I wish they taught the history of Pride when I was in school. <3Feel Good
I have not started Season 1 yet, but according to Netflix: Comedian Mae Martin co-created and stars in this witty, touching series that draws on her own life experiences.
This is one of my favorite movies. I love the way it was shot and that they used Northern Italy as the backdrop. It's a sensual and transcendent tale of first love, based on the acclaimed novel by André Aciman. Alex Strangelove
This movie follows high schooler Alex Truelove who has had a steady girlfriend but starts to question his sexuality after meeting a gay man at a party.
