You Can Get Super Close to the Blue Angels This Week

With Seafair all around us, the Blue Angels are in town! Touching down on Sunday night, the FA-18's are parked in a new spot and it's one that you means you can get right up on 'em - not literally, no, you can't climb the Blue Angels. Get down. The Museum of Flight looks out right over Boeing Field (BFI), and this year the Blues are posting up right there in the museum's parking lot.

That is crazy close up to the jets. I got a chance to get down there and snap some photos.

Full disclosure, the gang at the Museum of Flight used a fancy pass and got me somehow closer than the above photo. But still...

if you look at the last photo here (above), you can see how their appropriately blue cone is at the end of a parking space line - yeah the rail you can get to see and photograph these jets is just beyond that parking space. It's the closest access people have had yet. Viewing the Blue Angels is free with Museum of Flight admission (thursday is First Thursday and entrance is free at 5p... just sayin').
