Starting near sundown, protestors added some fresh paint to East Pine Street in Seattle. Giant letters eventually spelling "BLACK LIVES MATTER" are the latest mural in an area of continued protests. It's been only a couple of days since police at the East Precinct packed up and left the confrontations of Capitol Hill and the people are embracing the pressure relief.
UPDATE: the white primer letters have now been decorated.
Similar to scenes in the nation's capital, the other Washington, massive street covering letters appeared across from Cal Anderson Park on Pine Street between 10th and 11th avenues.
While starting with a base coat of white, the letters are to be filled in more colorfully when complete says KIRO 7.
