The Strokes played a New Year's Eve show in NYC where they debuted a new song and frontman Julian Casablancas announced "we're unfrozen and we're back!" Now we have a little more insight.
The Strokes just announced a series of West Coast shows in March including a stop at WaMu Theater on March 9th!
I still remember when every label under the sun was trying to sign the band in 2000. I saw them open for a band called Doves at the El Rey Theater in LA and every A&R guy in town was at the show. They landed a record deal with RCA records and put out one of the best debut albums which NME called the best album of the decade (00s).
I saw them a couple of years ago at Governor's Ball in NYC and they still have the magic on stage. It'll be exciting to see them in a venue like WaMu. Be sure to grab your tickets early, they go on sale this Friday at 10am HERE!!
