Meldrop is a four-piece jazzy indie rock group hailing from the Seattle/Tacoma, WA area. The band was formed in the fall of 2022, when a group of restaurant bussers at Tacoma’s Lobster Shop decided to get together and jam after work.
Consisting of River Esqueda and Kirran Medchill both on guitar and vocals, Elijah Tuncap on drums and vocals, and Aidan Goodman on bass and keys, Meldrop’s style blends influences of jazz, rock, and the blues into a smooth sound that has encapsulated listeners all around the world.
Their upcoming sophomore EP, Melodaze, builds on their original sound, providing a fresh perspective anchored in raw storytelling. Tackling issues from heartbreak to mental health, their new project reflects the band’s sonic maturation as they’ve ascended the Seattle music scene.
