Washington Governor Jay Inslee announced a killer bundle of incentives to get the unvaccinated some shots including more than two-million dollars in lottery money! The Shot of a Lifetime program is for people in the state who have been vaccinated or get vaccinated in a push to get us to 70% inoculated and lift the restrictions by the end of June. From the Governor's post on Medium, incentive include:
-Lottery cash drawings, with prizes totaling $2 million
-Higher education tuition and expense assistance
-Sports tickets and gear
-Gift cards
-Airline tickets
-Game systems and smart speakers
Starting the week of 6/7/21, they'll do four weekly drawings of $250k each followed by a bigger drawing of $1 million.
Inslee went on to tweet:
"Washingtonians who have been vaccinated (regardless of when) are eligible. This includes people who got vaccinated before this announcement. If you got vaccinated in the last couple months, or last week or tomorrow, you are eligible."
I want that cash! With just 63% of the state vaccinated, it's come to persuading people with cash and prizes but I wouldn't turn down an easy $250k! Again, read more here.
