Washington State is again the weirdest with it's archaic Liquor Control Board (now Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board) but also pioneering the way towards legal recreational marijuana for adults 21+. Things got taken a bit further this week when the LCB give the (green) thumbs-up to licensed cannabis retailers to give out one (1) joint per vaccinated customer at a vaccination event.

We've reached the point that the state is allowing you to receive drugs in exchange for protecting the other people in your community. Which lobby group is behind this? Is it Big Snacks? Big Funyuns? Big Soda?

Now look, it's not as easy as just walking into a dispensary and declaring you're ready for your joint. Which totally sucks, but also, think how many joints you could get for free just cruising from one spot to the next, right? Here are some of the restrictions (full details here):

-Any cannabis joint provided to a customer must be associated with an active vaccine clinic event at the retail location.
-Only one complimentary joint may be provided to a customer who receives a first or second COVID-19 vaccine dose at the event.
-Receipt of the complimentary joint must occur during the same visit as receiving the vaccination, and may not be delayed, postponed, or otherwise acquired at a later date or time.
