I met Telehealth before I heard them. We were both performing in-studios in Boise as part of Treefort Music Fest years ago. I recognized their drummer Ian McCutcheon from his earlier powerhouse group Kithkin and struck up a conversation. They were all in the middle of a much larger tour and we traded stories from the road. They were extremely kind and I thought to listen to them on the drive home. After hitting "play" on Idiot Proof (nO SoUp Du JoUr), I was immediately hooked. What do I do with this new conundrum of impact music with important messages? Play more of it, of course!
Freshly signed to Sub Pop, Telehealth is celebrating their brand new album, Green World Image, to much praise. Their song "Yassify Me" is either in my ears or in my head most days, and I still can't quite figure out how they've gotten me to dance in ways I didn't know possible.
