The legendary Bamboozle music festival has officially announced its return to Asbury Park, NJ just in time to celebrate its 20th anniversary -- in 2023.

Who knows what kind of reunion shows and special one-offs will occur? But there are some dates to save: May 5-7, 2023.

Following a few teaser posts that showed up on social media over the past few months leading up to today's video announcement, founder John D’Esposito said on Facebook today, "I assure each and everyone of you that the 2023 Bamboozle will not only re-create our legacy but will move it forward for our next generation to experience. The rides, the games, hints, clues, wrestling, comedy, vendor villages, mosh pits, live performances, stage dives, charities and so many really cool ideas I've been hoping to incorporate each and every year we've missed all of you.”
"Ten years will be long enough," he continued. "2022 wasn't the right situation and I wanted to wait til we could celebrate 20, but I assure you - we are going to celebrate 30. I hope to pass the baton to my children and have them take over once I'm ready to step aside. This is a family business, always will be - that will never happen again."
"It’s good to be back," D’Esposito told New Jersey's Asbury Park Press. "When Bamboozle comes back it’s not going to look the same because the scenes change and evolve but we’re definitely going to celebrate our roots because we wouldn’t be here 20 years later if the festival wasn’t special to a lot of people."
