The band first debuted the track at a San Francisco show on Monday night, and in the mail, as a cassette featuring the song was delivered this week to a few lucky fans. It comes just hours after The Strokes revealed plans for their first album release in 6 years, with Reality Awaits teased to arrive this summer.
In addition to this weekend’s Coachella performance, the band is set for an appearance at Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, and Shaky Knees festival later in the year.
Recorded in Costa Rica with producer Rick Rubin, Reality Awaits is the band's 7th studio album and first since 2020’s The New Abnormal. It arrives everywhere on June 26.
