Today, Dom Giordano led off the Dom Giordano program by discussing the Nashville tragedy, focusing on the heroic efforts by six responding Nashville officers who helped to insure the safety of citizens in the surrounding area. Dom imagines what it must've been like to be on the scene of such a horrific event, and discusses the media response and failure to recognize the heroes in the situation. Then, Giordano discusses the Philadelphia Inquirer's heroes and villains for 2020, in which Bill McSwain was nominated first for his fight against safe injection sites. Dom then gives some of his local heroes who have fought against tyranny and for freedom. Also, Dom discusses last nights' Eagles game, and reveals to Producer Dan that Captain Chucky is naming a soup after him.
PA GOP Lawmakers Hope To Reconstruct PA Supreme Court
Giordano led off today's second hour by discussing a push in by Pennsylvania House and Senate Republicans to reconstruct rules regarding Supreme Court justices in the fallout of the 2020 general election. The proposed amendment would end the practice of judicial candidates running for 10-year terms in statewide elections, and instead require candidates to live in districts which would vote on said candidates. Also, Giordano discusses drama within Ford Motor Company, where employees tried to demand the car company to stop manufacturing and selling police vehicles.

Dom stumbles upon a revelation that the U.S. Department of Labor has issued a final rule to amend tipped employee regulations. "This final rule provides clarity and flexibility for employers and could increase pay for back-of-the house workers, like cooks and dishwashers, who have been excluded from participating in tip pools in the past," said Wage and Hour Administrator Cheryl Stanton. "Newly allowed tip sharing may incentivize the inclusion of these previously excluded workers and reduce wage disparities among all workers who contribute to customers' experience." Giordano is shocked when Producer Dan tells him that throughout his long resume of service experience, he's never not been in a situation where tips are pooled.
